Did You Believe It When They Said "We’ll Build Your Business for You"
There are so many sites out there that claim you only need to sign up and their magic turn-key system will take you from rags to riches in no time. Do you really think there is a system out there that will make you rich and there is no work required?
When I hear the line “No selling or recruiting required-we build your down line for you” it makes me suspicious right off the bat because if it were that easy, everyone would be driving a BMW. My first thought upon seeing this is to run the other way.
Claims like these are there for 1 type of person, the lazy bums out there that believe they can get something for nothing. Anything worth having is worth working for is what my father used to say. People want to believe they can succeed with a business that is risk-free, quick, easy, and cheap.
That is the reason you see thousands of sites that tell you “All you need to do is pay your sign up fee and join today and we have hundreds of people to put in your downline if you just get in before them.” Our amazing new system will build your team for you with no selling and no recruiting.
Let’s look at this logically. If there is no selling, where is the money going to come from? If there is no recruiting, how will the business grow? If it were that easy, why would they need you? It is your network they are after and for most people that means their personal contact list.
Your little sign up fee, they tell you, is all you need. If this were so, why wouldn’t whoever put that site up take some of the thousands they earned with their system and start a bunch of these plug and play systems? The reason is the system is not going to work as easy as advertised.
Network marketing is a very unique industry. You can start your own business and work it from home. Now with the Internet all you need is a computer and you have the chance to start a home based business with a real chance of success.
Compared to a traditional business or a brick and mortar business there is a real chance for the average person to build a highly successful business from home with a small investment. There was no chance of doing anything like this 50 years ago without inventing something or starting a traditional business.
Now you can choose almost any type of product and from thousands of companies and start a business quickly. But there are many people failing at this because of one little thing. They fail to get proper marketing training mainly because there are so many B.S. sites out there and some people think if they failed at one company they just need to find the right company.
At some point, in business, a product or service must be sold to a consumer. Only an idiot would believe you can make thousands weekly in any business with “no selling required.” If you are in network marketing you are a salesperson and you have two things to sell; products or services and a business model.
The instant gratification society we live in and the speed of our modern technology does make a lot of people think there would be an easy fully automated system out there that will make you insanely rich in a short time.
It is true that there are services and products out there that make it easier to build a successful business but it still takes people to work those systems and it takes leaders to get people to join. Everyone wants a leader to join with so they will be able to learn how to build a successful home based business.
There are some automated systems that are crucial to your business success but no system will do everything with nobody in control. There are really two things needed for an online business. Some automated systems and a real person to manage the system and the team members. You need personal interaction and mentoring to build a successful network marketing business.
Distributors always will hit rough patches in their businesses and that is when they need to rely on their sponsors for support and resources to keep their momentum going. You use automated systems to generate leads and qualify people but it will be up to you to implement these systems and help your teams members succeed and develop leaders.
People who are looking for a get rich quick plan are really fooling themselves and unless you can make them understand that they will have to work to get where they want to be you are just wasting your time signing them up. There is no business out there that can be successful without the leader knowing how to run the business.
This business is all about how many people you can help to find success and the more people you can help the more success you will have so you would be way ahead of the game if you let them know up front the amount of work it really takes to make it in this industry. There are people who are looking for an opportunity that do not mind working for their money.
The most important thing any business owner needs to learn is sales and marketing. Use a marketing plan which puts you in position for your system to capture your prospects info and build a relationship with them by offering help and resources that are affiliates of yours.
