Discover Topics That Will Sell Like Hotcakes

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

The first and ultimately most significant step in setting in motion your information product is selecting a topic that is marketable. This can be a tough job since a lot of people have unique interests that they are emotionally attached to, and consequently want to do an Information product on.

While this is admirable, and on paper a good idea,in the competitive world of information product marketing it will never work. You must find a topic that people want to read.

The further you fiddle with the topic ideas the more clear it will become that most topics will not be marketable in the least bit. Whenever a topic Is not marketable it will sell very few if any copies at all.

Therefore we find a topic that is a real bookseller. Where do we begin to find a topic that will sell like hotcakes and how do you recognise one if you run across it. This is what you have to question yourself on when searching for a good topic. Look about you and see what is selling, in other words what is the best selling topic at the moment what is top of the charts, the people in big business look at the big ticket-booth draws they view what sells and then develop their own edition of a big seller.

The first step you have to take in choosing your topic is to find out what is selling and then match that to your individual interests and the best way to track what e-books are selling is to set out in three parts.

First part for you to do is to see what is selling in ebay.

The second is to look at the big e-book websites that rank product sales.

The third thing to do is search by browsing requested work for hire advertisements, this will let you know what the competition is doing.

When you are searching what is selling on the ebay site put the word ebook in the search box and then you will be able to navigate the results on the left hand side of your screen. Find the box that says ” show completed listings only ” and click it. after double clicking on the search button , you will be provided with a large page list of the latest information products listings that have ended in the past four days or so, and now you have in front of you what is needed to compose your information product on.

Look at the listings noting which topic are selling the most, and which ones are selling for the best dollar and this will let you know what topics work and what doesn’t.

Finding the top sellers on information product websites and the term most used is ebooks and you should search for sites on ebook volume sales rankings and possible the best site to help gauge what the market is buying is clickbank.com and there you’ll see which is selling best, there are hundreds of thousands of information products for sale on clickbank.com’s affiliates websites. The rankings are located at the bottom of the company homepage and the best selling are by category, price, and industry, and for the most part of clickbanks rankings will offer substantial insight into what buyers want to know about and what they are purchasing.

Finally in this process consider what publishing companies are seeking, this is another surefire way of discovering what is selling online because publishers contact authors who are selling well, try searching the work for hire websites that have projects posted for potential e-book authors, and make notes on what titles are popular. By now and carrying out these points it should be apparent what topics are in demand and what are not so this process will help you write about a topic that is in demand in the market. Most people think about a topic, and do it, worrying about the marketing at a later date.

I now hope you think this way when you are going to think of your next topic remember what you want to write about isn’t always what the market wants to buy, so understanding this principle should put you ahead of 99% of the authors in the market.

Why Article Marketing Strategies Are Great for Business Profits

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

There are many benefits of using articles as an internet marketing strategy to increase profits in your business.

This example will blow your mind - how creating 25 articles and social network marketing can generate an additional $30K to your business income.

Let’s say you write 5 articles in your first month to get things going.

Show your visitors what you are offering (e.g. a report to download or your landing page) by putting a link within the resource box in the article submission directory or submission software.

And let’s assume you have a set of keywords you know are highly targeted for buyers not browsers - people seriously interested in what you have to offer - although keyword research is a huge topic in itself!

You are really looking for keywords within your niche that have fairly low competition and currently do not already bring up web 2.0 properties like articles in the first 1-2 pages of search engine listings. These can be used as a basis for creating unique and valuable content that will get noticed.

Some basic SEO link strategies will help pump more fuel into your pipeline so your articles get picked up even more frequently.

1. Using article submission software you can automate the process of sending your article to many different ezines or article directories. You can use an automated distribution method, such as article submission software tools to create a unique version for each (article leverage) and automate the form filling submission process.

2. You kick start the viral process by pointing at your articles from your blog posts, forum comments, commenting on other blogs, twittering, facebook posts, pinging, RSS and social bookmarking and all those other lovely social tools.

3. You might also make a video around your article topic when you explain and demonstrate the key principles or messages.

4. You put up your article link on your website if you have one or a banner on your Facebook profile.

This should take you about an hour per article at the very most.

OK, so now you’re getting the word out.

Let’s say you generate 15 visitors to each article a week. That’s just over two a day, which is quite conservative if you done the above keyword targeting and social marketing.

It’s true that the number getting to the bottom and clicking on your resource box link to your website, opt in or offer will certainly depend on whether you’ve grabbed their attention with a provocative headline and engaging copy.

You could argue that having only 1 or 2 people a day click on your article is hardly worth the effort, since not all will read the whole thing. But you’d be wrong.

Less experienced internet marketers may not see the potential benefits. The clever network marketer have a longer term vision. They know that daily visits can really add up and their strategy is around the ‘compound’ effect.

Say you continue writing 1 article a week. Afer six months, you will have 25 articles buzzing around the internet.

Let’s carry on the calculation assuming two visitors a day click on your article … that equates to 350 very targeted prospects a week, nearly 1500 each month, who are highly alert to what you are offering, because they have read your article and see you as an authority through your content and social media if you have done this too.

If ultimately, you convert 5% of those visitors … that’s 50 leads or sales for your business. How much did that cost? Nothing - except an hour or so per article and time networking and twittering your link.

You can work out each of your customer’s “lifetime value” in terms of profits to your business (taking account of marketing costs and any offers), you can calculate the cost of a new sale or lead … for this example, let’s say it’s $50 - you just added $2500 income … every single month.

Let’s put it another way. With 25 articles on the go, your article marketing activity just brought in $30,000.

Bear in mind these figures are fairly conservative as your pipeline grows and you establish your own unique personal brand and online credibility, you should achieve more and more traffic and higher conversions.

Furthermore, the back links to your website or blog domain from your article submissions will help boost your organic listing with Google, Yahoo etc, so you rank higher and get more traffic from the main search engines too.

So is article marketing worth the effort? You bet it is - The bottom line is the value you add to your market as well as the extra profits you generate!

The best email marketing service for you, Getresponse or Aweber?

Friday, February 26th, 2010

GetResponse vs Aweber, these seem to be the two most popular email marketing services available on the Internet and in this article we will compare them. There are a number of other companies offering the same or similar services and we will look at those first.

You know that you need email marketing services but you are not sure which one to choose. I remember when I was in that position and did a lot of online research to decide which had the best services, the services that I would use and of course, the cost for those services. When you do some research online you will find a number of email marketing services. The first email marketing services I used were in the network marketing industry. There are built-in systems that will manage your contacts, a sign-up form for new subscribers, an autoresponder, email templates customized email campaigns and an internal list of your contacts so you can email them a newsletter at anytime you choose. Those systems of deliverability had problems due to the CAN-SPAM regulations. I soon realized the power behind a system like that to build a tremendous organization in the network marketing industry. There is no question that I was able to accomplish A LOT more than the people that were using spiral notebooks!

I used iContact but using Constant Contact at the same time really spoiled me and if I had to choose between the two it would be, hands down, Constant Contact. Constant Contact is the better of the two email marketing services but it does not have the power that Getresponse or Aweber. I use Constant Contact regularly and would be very happy with it except it does not have options that are needed to be one of the best email marketing services.

Another service that competes with GetResponse and Aweber and that is Vertical Response. It looks great but it is not the most common when it comes to email marketing services and although that does not mean it is not as good it is something to consider.

A new service called, TWRPS, has come to the industry as an email marketing service with a number of other services. I am reviewing it now and will post some information on my blog and write an article about it, be on the lookout for it. This new email marketing service is named Teamwork Revolution Power System (TWRPS).

That was a long intro to the heart of the article but I felt it was important to address those services to let you know what is available to you and may be applicable to your needs.

Now, without further adieu, GetResponse vs Aweber! Which is the best of the two email marketing services? I use the word best on purpose but I have to say that the use of the word best is not the right way to think about it. You need to determine which one has the services or other factors that are the most important to your business. They are clearly both great services and there are people that use both of them because they want to have the options that both of them have to offer. Here are the services that are important in email marketing services and then how do the two services differ.

Email Templates Both GetResponse and Aweber offer email templates. This will save the newbie time if they do not know how to build a page from scratch. I personally love the opportunity to just choose a template, add my text and send it out.

Email Newsletters Both companies offer the service to send your contacts a newsletter. With a couple clicks and creating your copy for your newsletter you are ready to send it out.

Sign up form The sign up form is VERY IMPORTANT for building a list of contacts. This is one of if not the most important element for building an online business that will pay you well over time. People that have experience with this truth understand what I am talking about. Both companies offer this service.

Opt-in process In today’s Internet world of spammers it is vitally important to be using a opt-in or double opt-in service so that you do not get reported for SPAM and cannot defend yourself if someone wants to cause more problems. Both companies offer this service as well.

Email Analytics Do you want to know how many people open the emails that you send out? Do you want to know how many emails bounce and don’t get delivered? Like any marketer you want to know how many visitors click on the links that you have in your newsletter? Get all this valuable information from either company.

Autoresponder and email campaigns When someone joins your newsletter or asks for a special offer you have made do you want to sit down and write them a thank you email or would you prefer for an email to be sent out to them automatically? These two email marketing services will both handle your emails automatically. Once you take the time to create the initial emails the emails will be ready to send and you can let them do the work.

Email deliverability Aweber has been in this business for 11+ years and has relationships that offer the highest deliverability rate in the industry. GetResponse has been in business for 10+ years and also have a great deliverability rate.

Pricing They are really so close in pricing, Aweber is $1 more per month.

So what really separates them? Which should you choose?

GetResponse has some cool media options but cost extra and they do have an Iphone app if you have an Iphone and plan to try to manage your emails on the phone.

What really caused me to make my decision is by reviewing what some of the most successful online marketers use. From my assessment it was Aweber so I made my choice to go with Aweber.

Best wishes to you in your online success!
